After the dust had settled
You won't get a wild ride to heaven on pretty little sounds
-Charles Ives
That recital was a lot of fun. One of those experiences that will stick with you for awhile. Even though there were nervous moments and more than a few notes I'd like to take back, I think it went very well, especially the Bach cello suite.
Thanks to all the out of towners who showed: mom, dad, sister, sister's fiancee, aunt, aunt, great aunt, girlfriend, girlfriend's mom, dad, brother, sister, exchange student from Thailand...did I miss anyone? Also to all of you folks here in the sunny Eau C.
Now that this is behind me, I can focus on other things, such as getting the left side of my lower half back in shape. Tonight I'm off to McPhee to do some laps in the pool, and tomorrow I'm getting a Crest membership so I can get on the machines and get some muscle back. I am greatly looking forward to the time when I can play raquetball again, or maybe just walk without a limp.
