Let the incessant tormenting begin...now.
I am listening to the new Weezer album, *dodges rotten vegetables* and so far I can say that it's pretty sweet. Now I know that people have given me crap for enjoying Weezer, and all of you can go to hell. Everyone's got to have a favorite. Anyway, don't be fooled by their single "Beverly Hills." It pretty much is the worst Weezer song I've ever heard, and won't be one of those that I'll grow to like. It's just awful. But the rest of the album so far is great: very clean, with a lot of new sounds. The lyrical writing isn't as on as their earlier stuff, but they've taken some new musical steps that I really like. Too bad I didn't have the $30 to get a ticket to their First Ave. show. Maybe they'll come around again this summer.
I also got a hold of the new Ben Folds album, and it's also pretty great. Definitely going on the "I've downloaded it but it's good enough that I should probably buy it" list. I can pine for days for the return of the Five, but it's not going to happen. So I'll enjoy the solo stuff anyway.
All of this other music is distracting me from my Music History paper, now due in a mere 6 days. I haven't actually put any words together in a coherent format, but it'll happen. It's going to be tight though, I have to leave for Duluth tomorrow to see the doc on friday, and with fraternity stuff and concerts, a lot of the weekend will be lost. I think I'll be spending my evening at home tomorrow doing some hardcore papering. Should be fun, because Charles Ives is freaking awesome.
Welp, see you later.

Um ... yeah, make sure I get a copy of the new Ben Folds CD. That'd be sweet.
The only Weezer album I like is Pinkerton. Don't know why I'm not a fan of the others (although I do like some singles off the other albums). And their video with the Muppets (tm) was pretty sweet.
new eels also came out last tuesday.
