Happy Freaking New Year
And so a new year starts again...
I think that this year will be the most eventful year in quite some time. By this time in 2007 I will be writing in my blog in a completely different part of the country. Hopefully, I'll have a nice steady teaching job and a sweet place somewhere in the state of Washington. But before then, there's much to be done.
Last night was pretty sweet. Went with Alison to visit some of her high school comrades in Rosemount, then headed over to Jana's to see my crowd. A smaller crowd than usual, but then again, most of them/us have graduated college, and aren't in the same places we were last year, so getting home for a lot of folks wasn't a possibility. Did get to see Chad, Andrea, Jana, Jessica, Mark, Matt, Dustin, Nick, Steve Chu (who I haven't talked to since High School), and some other folks. It makes me sad that I don't see those people more often than I do, but that's the way it is.
Woke up today and realized that I have t-minus 2 weeks to get my shit together. I have to finish strong in the last 2 weeks of student teaching, apply for two teaching licenses (MN & WI, and eventually WA), learn how to teach elementary general music, make sure UWEC doesn't want anything else out of me so I can officially graudate, turn in stuff at Mega, clean & pack my room, move stuff to Rosemount, and begin to start my first real job. Phew!
I'm going to try to not let all of this consume me, however. I'm leaving on the weekend of the 13th, and will probably host some sort of "Old Man's Last Night in Town, Kinda" suaree. I'll keep you posted.
Now to dig out from underneath all this stuff!
