So we have to say goodbye for the summer...
Summer 2005 has officially come to an end. Tomorrow I start student teaching, of which I am excited and a bit nervous for.
My summer came to a close in a grand fashion. I was able to stand for and play my trombone for my sister's wedding (congrats Anni and Jace!), have a good ol' time at the reception, and then exhausting myself at the Minnesota State Fair.
The highlight of my weekend would have to be the sheer joy on my dad's face during the father-daughter dance. I can't remember the last time I saw him having that much fun. The low point probably occured when I knocked Alison's yardstick off of the 2nd level of the Grandstand and onto the shoulder of an elderly woman on the sidewalk. A sheer accident, yes, and the woman seemed to be more confused than anything. Plus, she got a yardstick out of the deal.
Now I have 3 days of setting up/meetings/getting to know people, then the weiner kids show up on thursday. Wish me luck!
