Long time

Woah folks, sorry for the break in the updates. Not a whole lot to report, though; school's going good, all of the little cherubs are learning just as much as they can. I'm feeling generally more organized this year, and I feel like the kids are learning better from me. This is a good thing.

If you haven't been watching, you should really try to catch the new Ken Burns documentary "The War" on PBS. It's pretty incredible. I haven't missed a night yet (7 episodes at 2-2.5 hours each). It's very, very good.

Tomorrow night, after a full work day and a dentist appointment, I'll be going to see The Smashing Pumpkins. While I don't like their new album (despite recent attempts to reconcile with it), I'm still hoping it'll be a good show. With luck, they'll keep the new stuff down to a minimum, and play a lot of their old stuff. Here's hopin'.

I really wish someone would tell me how many days there were left. I'm really bad at keeping track of these sorts of things. It would be a shame to not know and miss it.

This concert makes me nervous in a Def Leopard reunion sort of way. The same complaints about "playing the old stuff," the aging fans ... we're getting old.

Hey Patty P,

If I come up for the bone dinner (which is becoming more certain by the day), we will indeed hang out. We will also party. We will also use hula hoops to scare away neighborhood kids. We will also use a garden hose to soak the Hastings prankers. It will be the best summer ever.

Colin

P.S. This is the start of my attempts to stay in contact with people. YAY!
