Twenty and Five

Garfield is exactly 5 years older than me. I also believe he clocks in around that increment in terms of lameness (I'm not saying I'm cool, but Garfield is really, really lame).

So in the grand tradition, I will be spending the big day doing nothing of note. I've never really worried about doing spectacular things on my birthday...usually if there's a cake involved sometime plus or minus a week I'm satisfied. My Dad would frequently tell the story of how he spent his golden birthday digging sewers, and since I've been of working age, I've spent many June 19ths working. Today will be no different! I've been spending the week at my parent's place working on the garage at their new place. If you want something intellectually stimulating, spackle and sand a garage. Woo!

This weekend, however, should be awesome. Friday we go to Cumberland, WI (home of the Rutabaga festival) for my cousin's wedding. Saturday is Rock the Garden, which looking at the forecast, should be f-ing incredible. And then on Monday I go to band teacher camp. The end.

PS: Did I mention Rock the Garden is on Saturday? Don't you wish you could go to France with Bon Iver?
