From the basement...
Greetings one and all,
I have left Eau Claire for good. Well...not for good, but for awhile. Let's just say that my days as a full time resident are over...until this summer, but that's only for six weeks.
ANYWAY, I moved into Alison's parent's basement today. Her sister Courtney was gracious enough to let me stay in her room, and she cleaned up the place so well that you hardly knew it was her room...aside from the feminine decor and all the things on the wall that say Courtney. But I have a lot of space, and all the stuff I need is here, so I'm totally set. Plus, Alison's right upstairs, dinner is free, and they have a hot tub.
Tomorrow I head for my first official (read: paid) day at SEAS. From now on, SEAS will now refer to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School, which is my new place of employment. Since it's MLK Jr. day, the weiner kids have the day off and the teachers have a workshop day. I plan to use the day to figure out what the hell I'm doing (oops...probably shouldn't say hell), and by the end of the day if I have a couple weeks planned out I'll be extremely happy. If I get this week planned out, I think the anxiety will greatly subside. If I figure out what I'm doing on Tuesday, that'd be good too.
I'm excited to begin this new phase in my life. Not quite sure what to expect, but then again I've always been bored with predictable situations.
PS: Smashing Pumpkins rule.
